Governance and the fight against corruption

Text of the pillar

All pillars

We will build a neutral public administration, free from intrusive political influence. Civil servants will no longer be able to set up movements linked to political parties or groups, or to claim to be "the civil servants of such-and-such a party" within the public administration. No movements or associations of party civil servants.

The fight against corruption will be exemplary and will start at the top of the State, which will declare corruption "the enemy of the people of Côte d'Ivoire".

This fight will rest on the values of a State governed by the rule of law, in the service of all Ivorians.

We will establish transparent governance that meets citizens' basic needs while preserving their dignity.

Institutions that are essential to building our democracy and our country will be maintained; the others will disappear.

As part of the fight against corruption, we will encourage an independent, investigative press able, through documented reporting, to give people the tools to understand what the public administration does with their resources.

RTI, since it is funded by the contributions of all Ivorians, will change status: from a State broadcaster (serving the propaganda of governments and ruling parties) it will become a public service broadcaster serving all Ivorians and all opinions expressed within the limits of the law.
